Below are productions that may not feature on the above general sites, while some are repeated because of their rarity or to show the geographical range of opera  or to give additional information.   Note that some productions may be amateur, semi-professional, student or touring groups and may use an abridged, native language or reduced version of the opera. The details below are given in good faith. Please confirm details and times, as changes or cancellations do happen.



- The Rosenblatt Recital Series is a series of recitals by both up and coming and established singers.

- Opera Seria is staging Donizetti's Maria Stuarda at the Studio Theatre of the Royal Northern College of Music, Manchester on May 30 - June 1.

- Opera Rara have announced a concert performance of Donizetti's Les Martyrs at the Royal Festival Hall on November 4, 2014, preceded by recording sessions. Sir Mark Elder conducts and the cast includes Bryan Hymel, Joyce El-Khoury and David Kempster. The CDs will contain music not heard since the first performances in 1840. They have also launched an appeal to raise the £250,000 needed to cover the costs. For details see the “Donate” page of their website

- Chelsea Opera Group are doing a concert performance of Verdi's Stiffelio, June 8 at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London

- OperaupClose are performing Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore on June 11 and 12

- The RCM , London are performing Rossini's La gazzetta, June 24-28.

- Longborough Festival are performing Rossini's The Barber of Seville , July 2 - 18.

- The Royal Opera, Covent Garden are staging Donizetti's Maria Stuarda with DiDonato, July 5 -18.

- The Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera  will perform Acts 1 of Donizetti's La Favorite and Mozart's Cosi fan Tutte on Sunday, July 20.

 - Welsh National Opera Autumn 2014 season will include Rossini's William Tell and Moses in Egypt



- The Guardian (December 4, 2012) carried a report that the Peter Moores Foundation will be funding a production of  Donizetti's Poliuto at Glyndebourne in 2015.

- The English Touring Opera's Spring 2013 tour programme states that they hope to produce Donizetti's Il furioso all'isola di San Domingo in two years time.

- The Guildhall school of Music & Drama plan to stage Donizetti's I pazzi per progetto in March 2015



- The Staatsoper, Vienna 2013-14 season includes Donizetti's Anna Bolena, L'elisir d'amore and La fille du régiment and Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia and La Cenerentola



- The Opéra Royal de Wallonie are performing Grétry's Zémire et Azor, April 23 - 27, Donizetti's Maria Stuarda, May 16 - 24 and Rossini's La gazzetta, June 20 - 28.



- The Canadian Opera Company, Toronto are staging Donizetti's Roberto Devereux, April 25 - May 21, 2014



- El Teatro Municipal de Santiago is staging Bellini's Il puritani (Los puritanos) , May 30 - June 11



- The National Centre for the Performing Arts, Beijing are performing Bellini's Norma, September 11 - 14.


Czech Republic

- Národní divadlo Brno / National Theatre Brno are performing Donizetti's Maria di Rohan, January 31 - May 3, 2014.



- Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Paris are staging Rossini's Otello , April 7 - 17, 2014, with Cecilia Bartoli as Desdemona.  Production previously done by Vlaamse Opera, see here.

- Opéra Grand Avignon are performing a concert version of Halévy's Le Dilettante d'Avignon on April 18

- Opera Marseille are planning Lalo's Le Roi d'Ys, May 10-18, 2014.

- It is understood that the Radio France Festival, Montpellier will include a concert performance of Donizetti's Caterina Cornaro, July 22



- The Aalto-Musiktheater, Essen are planning Bellini's La Straniera from March 2 - April 13, 2014.  Also Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore

- The Staatstheater Nurnberg are planning Meyerbeer's Les Huguenots,  June 15 - July 20, 2014

- The Wildbad Rossini Festival are performing Rossini's Adelaide di Borgogna and Il viaggio a Reims, Morlacchi's Tebaldo ed Isolina (concert version) and an Hommage à Adolphe Nourrit, June 21 - July 27.



- The Wexford Festival will include Cagnoni's Don Bucefalo, October 23 - November 1



-  OperaupClose are performing Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore on June 15-17 at the Ravenna Festival.

- The Rossini Festival, Pesaro, August 10 - 22 plans Armida, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Aureliano in Palmira, Il viaggio a Reims and Petite Messe Solennelle

- The Donizetti Festival, Bergamo include plans to stage Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, Betly and Torquato Tasso.  See here for details.



- The Teatro Nacional de São Carlos, Lisbon are performing concert versions of Donizetti's Poliuto (April 16-21),  Ponchielli's La Gioconda (May 13-17)   and Bellini's Norma (June 4 - 8).



- GöteborgsOperan are performing Halévy's La Juive, April 5 - May 18.  It's the production previously seen in Vilnius, see here for photographs and comment.



- The Izmir State Opera and Ballet are performing Verdi's Attila and  Bellini's La sonnambula,  April 9 -  May 15



- West Edge Opera are performing a concert version with reduced orchestra of Verdi's Aroldo (May 4)

- The Opera Orchestra of New York are planning Leoncavallo’s I Medici at Carnegie Hall on April 8, 2014 and Donizetti’s Roberto Devereux on June 5, 2014.

- The Caramoor Festival are performing Donizetti's Lucrezia Borgia with Angela Meade, July 12 & 18.  Also a concert of Donizetti's chamber music on June 26.
