Below are productions that may not feature on the above general sites, while some are repeated because of their rarity or to show the geographical range of opera  or to give additional information.   Note that some productions may be amateur, semi-professional, student or touring groups and may use an abridged, native language or reduced version of the opera. The details below are given in good faith. Please confirm details and times, as changes or cancellations do happen.

UK 

- The Rosenblatt Recital Series, usually at St John's Smith Square, London, is a series of recitals, by both up and coming and established singers. They have also have announced that Juan Diego Flórez is scheduled to sing at the Royal Albert Hall, May 8, 2012.

- Opera North are planning Bellini's Norma starting in Leeds on January 28, 2012 and then touring until March 10.

- English Touring Opera are staging Rossini's The Barber of Seville and Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin between March 8 to May 26.  Most venues are in England but they are in Perth, Scotland May 17-19.

- Pop up Opera are touring Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, May 4-27 in various places in the south and west of England.

- Chelsea Opera Group are performing Donizetti's Maria Padilla at the Queen Elizabeth's Hall, London on May 27, 2012

 2013

- Opera South are planning to produce Rossini's Le Comte Ory in February 2013 (Their 2012 production is German's Merrie England)

- Opera Magazine (November 2011) reports that Alessandro Talevi is directing Donizetti's Anna Bolena and Roberto Devereux for Welsh National Opera in 2013.

Argentina

- The Teatro Colón are staging Mercadante's Le due Figaro , March 27 - September 2.  A La Repubblica article on its discovery can be found here.

 - Buenos Aires Lírica are staging Bellini's Norma, June 8 - 16.

Australia

- Western Australian Opera are staging Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor  in Perth (July 14- 21)

- Opera Australia  are staging Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor  in Sydney (September 28 - November 2) and Melbourne ( November 19 - December 15).  They are also performing Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia from April 30 .

Austria

- Stadttheater Klagenfurt  are staging an evening of bel canto with Andrea Rost, Mihai Bogdan and Richard Sveda,  April 12 to May 9, 2012.

Belgium

- Vlaamse Opera are planning a production of Donizetti's unfinished opera  Le Duc d'Albe with a score prepared by Professor Roger Parker. From May 6 in Antwerp and from May 25 - June 2 in Ghent.

Bulgaria

- Sofia Opera are performing Meyerbeer's Robert le Diable, January 20 - February 2

Canada

- Pacific Opera  are staging Donizetti's Maria Stuarda , April 12 - 20 in Victoria.

- Manitoba Opera are performing Donizetti's La fille du régiment, April 21 - 27 in Winnipeg.

Denmark

- The Danish Bel Canto Society  puts on a regular series of concerts of both song and opera.

Estonia

- Donizetti's Maria Stuarda  at the Teater Vanemuine, Tartu,  through to February 25, 2012.

France

- L'Opéra National du Rhin are performing Meyerbeer's Les Huguenots  in Strasbourg, March 14-28, 2012 and Mulhouse, April 13 &15.

- The Opera Comique, Paris is staging Auber's La muette de portici, April 5 - April 15.

Germany

- The Bayerische Staatsoper are staging Donizetti's Roberto Devereux, February 1 - 13, in Munich starring Edita Gruberova.

- The Theater Koblenz is staging Auber's Fra Diavolo, February 4 - May 20

- The Berlin Komische Opera is performing Auber's Le Cheval de bronze, March 11 - July 3.

- The Stadttheater, Giessen are staging Pacini's Maria, regina d'Inghilterra , March 17-June 17, 2012

- OperStuttgart are performing Halévy's La Juive (Die Jüden), April 1 - May 6.  They are also performing Bellini's La sonnambula , January 22 to March 18.

- Frankfurt Opera are staging a concert performance of Wagner's Das Liebesverbot, May 2 & 4.

Ireland

- The Irish Times reported that the 2012 Wexford festival will stage Emmanuel Chabrier’s Le Roi malgré lui , Frederick Delius’s A Village Romeo and Juliet and Saverio Mercadante’s Francesca di Rimini.  More details when available.

Israel

- Israeli Opera are staging Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor , March 10 - 24 in Tel Aviv.

Italy

- The Festival della Valle d’Itria, Martina Franca have switched from Mercadante’s Francesca di Rimini to Bellini's Zaira, July 30 & August 1, 2012. They are also performing Hasse's Artaserse. See http://www.festivaldellavalleditria.it/dettaglio-news.aspx?ID=00000X .

- The provisional programme for the 2012 Donizetti Festival, Bergamo has just been announced:-  Donizetti’s Belisario, September 21 & 23, Maria Stuarda, October 12 & 14 and Maria de Rudenz, November 29, 2012 (a special celebration for Donizetti's birthday).  

Lithuania

- The Lithuanian National Opera are reviving their production of Halévy's La Juive, January 26 and May 3.  See here for photographs and comment on an earlier performance.

Spain

- Teatro Real, Madrid are performing Mercandante's I due Figaro , March 27 - April 1. A La Repubblica article on its discovery can be found here.

Sweden

- Göteborg Opera are staging Donizetti's Lucrezia Borgia, March 31 - May 19. This is the Christof Loy production from Munich.

- Vadstena Academy is planning a performance of Donizetti's Enrico di Borgogna in July 20 - August 7, 2012.

Switzerland

- Zurich Opera are performing a double bill of Donizetti's I pazzi per progetto  and Le convenienze ed inconvenienze teatrali , December 27, 2011 - June 2, 2012, Poliuto, May 5 -  June 9, 2012.  Also revivals of Donizetti's Don Pasquale and L'elisir d'amore ,  Rossini's La scala di seta, Il barbiere di Siviglia and Guillaume Tell

USA

- The Metropolitan Opera, New York season opens with Anna Netrebko in Donizetti's Anna Bolena.  This is a different production from the one in Vienna and she is again supported by Elina Garanca as Jane Seymour, although the remaining cast is different. Later in the season, they will be performing Il barbiere di Siviglia, L'elisir d'amore, La fille du régiment, Nabucco and Ernani. Many of the Metropolitan productions are transmitted to cinemas throughout the world.

- Hawaii Opera are performing Donizetti's Don Pasquale, February 10-14 in Honolulu.

- Minnesota Opera are performing Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor, March 3 - 12, 2012 in Minneapolis.

- Opera Memphis  are performing Donizetti's Don Pasquale, March 31 & April 3 in Memphis, Tennessee.

- Mississippi Opera are performing Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore in Jackson, Mississippi on April 21.

- Wichita Grand Opera  are performing Donizetti's Don Pasquale, April 21 & 22 in Witchita, Kansas.
