Photographs from the 2011 Donizetti Festival production of Donizetti's Maria di Rohan, which, from the photographs, looked a particularly stylish one with its whirlpool motif, although José MªIrurzun from Seen and Heard International was not very impressed by the singing, apart from that of Marco di Felice. Armando was sung by a tenor rather than the more usual mezzo, as in the this year's Buxton Festival production. Gregory Kunde, who sang Tamas in Gemma di Vergy earlier in the Festival, conducted using the critical edition of the score edited by Luca Zoppelli.
